TWU Library Photography Collection

The Blagg-Huey Library and the university’s Visual Arts Division need your support to build a new collection focusing on the field of photography.

A new book collection with a focus on photography will provide the university community with a diverse body of print photography resources encompassing the broadest range of the medium, including images of artists , communities, and geography. We plan to develop a unique set of subject matter that represents the TWU community’s rich diversity.

The goal is to purchase approximately 70 works from a wide-range of artists' voices. Artists such as Rania Mater, who has dedicated her work to exploring issues of personal and collective identity, through photographs of female adolescence and womanhood.

This collection will increase awareness of our Visual Arts programs, especially our more than 70 graduate programs, and it will showcase to our TWU community, arts communities and prospective students TWU’s commitment to diversity and belonging.
